Simple Nature Mediation

Meditating outdoors, close to nature can be relaxing, inspiring and healing.  It will give you a boost if you manage to do it regularly, as research has shown that green spaces are mood-enhancing.

My outdoor space is by the ocean, on a sand dune with the wind or sun on my face.   Take a mat, sit quietly, close your eyes and let you thoughts pass by.   And take deep long breathes - at least five.

It's great as you body without sight uses it's other senses to engage.  What can you hear?  What can you sense?

This practice connects you to the natural world, which we are a part of.  We are all too often rushing within our frenetic lives we tend to forget about nature and well, disconnecting.

Being in nature reminds us to slow down.  You only have to look around to appreciate that nature has its own easy-going pace.  It doesn't rush or fret: it does what it is supposed to do in it's won good time.   Flow.

There is no limit to how long you can meditate.  If you like you can deepen the mediation by closing your eyes and listening to the ocean, or birds, smelling the fresh air.   Its best to do this practice for at least 10 minutes.  If you can't get to a beach.  Go to a local park, your own garden and chill out for ten minutes.  Your mind and body will thank you for it.   Rejuvenate you :)

Enjoy :)
